Sajni's First Christmas
Sajni's First Christmas was fun.. She enjoyed the christmas tree. Had lots of fun listening to the choir in the mall. She got her holiday portrait done.. Lovely First Christmas....
Sajni's Seventh Month
Sajni.. Sajni .... Sajni... My my... now we could see the hyper sajni, the naugthy sajni in action all the time... This i would say is the best period.. She is such a social baby.. and i was a indeed a proud mommy.... Guess who was there to visit Sajni. Her big bro.. Yes Gabba was here for the winter break. The first relative to visit her after her grandparents. She liked playing with him but she would refuse to let him hold her. Then we cracked what it was all about. Gabba had to shave and then she was happily playing with him and his laptop all day... Their only communication channel was "HI"... She was so attached to him when the time came for him to leave.
Saji's maami Priya visited her. She spent one whole day with her. Its was lots and lots of fun. Sajni liked her maama and maami a lot.. The fun part was she was with maami all day and then when she saw mama she would refuse to go to maami... We clicked pictures and shot so many videos.. It was complete papparaazi !!!!!
Sajni celebrated her first New Year. We cut a small cake with Happy 2010... Then came Pongal and Sajni sat on her own. The minute she learnt how to sit on her own, she kept doing the same thing over and over again. What perseverance babies have..
She learned to communicate well. She would take her bottle when she was hungry and start trying to drink from it..
We had the first party in this new home.. The first party for Sajni after her thottil... Sai mama's birthday. Since it was a surprise, we all screamed and scared the little one. It took some time for her to settle down with friends. She got to meet Arjun her friend... All day Sajni would scream at the top of her voice. It was hard to figure out why she was screaming. Did She want something ? Seeing her, Arjun started to scream and we had two little babies screaming.... Her first playdate was a success !!!!!!!!!!!!

Sajni's Sixth Month
Life was so very different for Sajni in her sixth month. First her favourite and lovely grand parents left to India and second we moved to a different house. She missed her grand parents like crazy. It took a while for her to settle down. BUt then very soon she was back in action back to her naughtiness. She liked the fact that we there were multiple levels and was quite intrigued by it at first. Her favourite place turned out to be seated in a recliner with mommy and enjoying the view of the trees from there.
She became an expert in rolling over back and forth and not to forget her backward strokes. She could move across the room with this motion and before we knew she was under the recliner and in all sorts of strange places the gaps one she could find..
Her sleeping patterns got screwed up during the move. It was hard to establish her sleep routine which was the most difficult part for us parents. But her hyper levels continued to increase ..
We performed her annaprasnam at the Siva Vishnu temple, the ceremony to introduce the baby to solid foods... And then slowly we gave her , her first solid food, rice cereal.. She welcomed it so well, we were amazed.. But it didnt suit her little tummy and she threw up the whole day.. But it was a wonderful sight to watch her eat.. she was so eager to know what it was and finally we loved the sight of the messy messy baby
But Sajni was such a darling during these times, when the house of full of boxes .. Thank God she was too young not the stage where she would put stuff in her mouth.. then the move would have been impossible...
Sajni has lots of friends in this community and I am sure summer time is going to be lots and lots of fun..
Sajni experienced her first snow.. She was thrilled to see the snow and her dad was trying hard to explain the concepts to the cutie pie. He let her feel the snow and it was lots and lots of fun watching her enjoy the new experience. We captured some of the best pictures..
Since Sajni likes trees , we decided to put up a little christmas tree for her. This is the first time we are having a xmas tree at home. We invited Shruthi over to help Sajni decorate the tree. Sajni enjoyed every moment of this.

Annaprasanam
Sajni's Annaprasnam - Introducing Sajni to solids .. Yum Yum.. We conducted this event on the 22nd of Nov at Siva Vishnu Temple.Sajni missed Thatha and Ammama. Sajni enjoyed the company of Sai and Shruthi's family
Sajni's first Halloween
Sajni had fun on her first Halloween. Dressed as a cute little naughty cat, she caught everybody's eye there.. She had fun in the Halloween party at our apartment community..
Sajni's Fifth Month
I cant believe that I am writing this blog at the time I got to write her sixth month update. Life is not the same after Sajni's Thatha and Ammama's departure. I have almost forgotten what my little princess did during this period. I strongly remember this , that Sajni's turned out to be a very social darling. We attended a couple of parties and she was such a darling there. She let her amma and appa relax while they ate and she enjoyed all the attention that my friends gave her. She liked
being amidst kids and during these party times, she totally freaked out.
She loved playing with her thatha and ammama and yes loved the famous chellama kuttilu.And they would happily babysit her for us when Srini and I had to step out. Sajni loved being on her tummy all the time. She would just roll over in a second and play with her toys. Started to enjoy toys that made sounds and had lights in them.
Her fifth month was special. Apart from the parties she enjoyed the major two occassions, diwali and halloween. Since it was Sajni's first diwali, we had a grand celebration at home and the little princess was such a sweetie pie in her lovely dress that was gifted by Guha's parents. And then it was Halloween. Sajni was the cute little naughty cat for Halloween. We had a small celebration in our apartment and Sajni enjoyed watching all the kids in their costumes.
We also got our family portrait done. Loved dressing up Sajni for the session. And I know now, how much I wanted a girl. She loved it too and we got some best pictures of her.
It was time for Thatha and Ammama to leave the States. It was hard for Sajni, Srini and I. Sajni missed them like crazy. She cried for a couple of days and the learnt slowly that they were not going to be here. She missed all the pampering and the company to play with. With the move, it was tough for all of us. But being a strong darling that she is, she got over it quickly.
Sajni leant to coordinate well with her hands. She loved to play peek-a-boo, govinda govinda and also did alilai krishnan at times. Its so much fun being with my sweetie pie.
